Byemoor 4-H Beef Club News, Nov 6

Submitted by Tulsa Smith, Club Reporter

On November 4th, Byemoor 4-H Beef Club held their weigh-in at Stettler Auction Mart. Byemoor was the 1st to weigh in; our slot was from 9:00 until 10:00. Thank you to Dara Hallett for implanting steer calves for those who wanted it. Byemoor Club is very grateful to SAM for the use of the scale on weigh day, and a huge thanks is extended to Boss Feeds, who sponsored a lick tub for each of the members in the district.

The following morning, on November 5th, we had our monthly meeting. Thank you to Wyatt from Country Junction Feeds for the amazing educational workshop following the meeting. It was fun, and the members learned lots about feeding and nutrition. At the meeting, record books were handed out, and upcoming events were discussed. On December 2nd, Byemoor is hosting Santa Days, and the Byemoor club will be helping out. Our club will also be helping the Halkirk Elks with “Breakfast with Santa,” which will be held on December 3rd. Also coming up, I will remind you about the Online Auction fundraiser, which will be held on Facebook from November 18th – 25th. There will be unique items and Christmas goodies available, so watch the Byemoor 4-H Beef Club Facebook page to bid and secure these great items and potential Christmas gifts.

Our club determined that we will again be having a battery drive fundraiser, if you have batteries you would like to donate, please reach out to a member, and we would be happy to take them for you.
