Dziatkewich receives $1000 Lions Scholarship

During February break, Fred Beynon from the Oyen Lions Club was proud to present Ryley Dziatkewich with a $1000 scholarship to go towards her post secondary pursuits. Ryley grew up near Cereal, with her parents Shane and Tera and sister, Kiarra. She has prided herself in being an avid horseback rider, volleyball player, snowboarder and hunter. Her volunteering, including mentoring during her years at SCHS, visiting at the Oyen Seniors’ Lodge, various jobs for the Badlands Badgers and working in the kitchen at the Crossroads Centre, has always been important to her.

Ryley is looking forward to continuing her educational journey at the University of Alberta by taking a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.

The Oyen Lions Club takes applications for two $1000 scholarships every year with the deadline being November 1st. The Lions Club is always in need of new members and volunteers. Please reach out to Chris Hoffmann, president, at 403-664-9397 if you can help out in any way.
