OYEN LODGE NEWS: Grades 1 and 2 entertain Lodge residents

By Dianne Spath

Hello everyone. The weather was beautiful again until our first day of spring, but the moisture is much needed. We started the week with exercises in the mornings, bingo and cards. Taylor Neilson comes to play piano on Monday afternoons and the 4H Club came in to give their 4H speeches. Tuesday was the Spring Tea, which was decorated with flowers and butterflies. We served homemade lemon sugar cookies, deviled eggs, donuts and colourful easter candies with tea and coffee. A big thank you to our secretary, Bev, for assisting me with my festivities and lending a hand with the decorating. She does a wonderful job. The Grade 1 & 2s came on Thursday and sang a few songs, did some colouring and played some cards. Lots of fun was had by all, then everyone had juice and cookies. We finished the week off with shuffleboard, dominos, horse races and Ralph and Marvel playing music.
