It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden death of Matilda—a loving wife, mom, daughter, sister and friend.

She was born on July 18, 1995, to John and Sara at Acadia Colony. There she grew up, attended school and learned the ways of colony life. She was a caring person who helped everyone.

In 2018, she married Johann, and together they had three children: Miranda, 4, Conner, 2, and baby Sophie.

Matilda was a born mom, always bustling about this or that. She was also a great sister who gave the best advice in her matter of fact, no nonsense way. Words cannot say how much she’ll be missed.

She is survived and lovingly remembered by her husband Johann, Miranda, Conner, Sophie, Dad and Mother, older sister Leona (Jamie), brother John (Debbie) and sister Debbie; her in-laws Ike and Susanne, Phillip (Sarah), Dora (Peter), Bertha (Hardy), Mark and Matt; her nieces and nephews Eric, Shawn, Jessica, Allysen and Jolene; her Grandmother from Acadia and Grandpa from Spring Side including numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was pre-deceased by her Grandpa from Acadia and Grandma from Spring Side.

We all cried when you passed away
